Anyone who suffers from peanut allergies, gluten sensitivity, or coeliac disease has been asked to refrain from eating the product

An urgent recall has been issued for M&M's Pipoca across England, Scotland and Wales following the discovery of potentially deadly undeclared allergens.

The 35g popcorn-flavoured confectionery poses a serious threat to individuals with peanut allergies, with authorities warning consumers not to consume the product under any circumstances.

Wholesaler 3D Trading has pulled the sweets from shelves after it emerged the product was originally manufactured for Brazilian consumers before being relabelled for UK sale.

The Food Standards Agency confirmed that the British stickers applied to the packaging failed to accurately convey critical allergen warnings present on the original labelling.

The confectionery contains peanuts and gluten, while also potentially harbouring traces of barley, rye and wheat - none of which appeared on the UK label.

"The information on the UK label does not accurately reflect the allergen information on the original label," the Food Standards Agency stated in its recall notice.

This labelling discrepancy presents a health hazard for those suffering from peanut allergies, gluten intolerance, or coeliac disease.

The recall encompasses all batch codes and best-before dates of M&M's Pipoca bearing 3D Trading's ingredients sticker.

Only products carrying the wholesaler's specific labelling are affected by this safety action.

The FSA has advised anyone who has purchased the product and suffers from peanut allergies, gluten sensitivity, or coeliac disease to refrain from eating it immediately.

Affected customers may return the item to their place of purchase for a complete refund, with or without proof of purchase.

Those seeking further information can reach 3D Trading directly by telephoning 07596 571086 or emailing UK@3dcandy.co.uk.
