Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are thought to be reconsidering attendance at their cousin Peter Phillips’s upcoming wedding to Harriet Sperling, with sources suggesting their plans have changed in light of recent developments.
The sisters' attendance at Royal Ascot on June 16 is also hanging in the balance, which falls 10 days after the Phillips wedding.
Their reported change of plans follows allegations published on Sunday that police are examining claims Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor behaved inappropriately towards a woman at Royal Ascot in 2022.
Thames Valley Police is continuing to investigate allegations relating to Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, including claims of misconduct during his time as a UK trade envoy.

The report came days after Thames Valley Police expanded its inquiry to include potential sexual misconduct allegations.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Sources told the Royalist that the York princesses have been left "mortified" by the latest developments.
According to the outlet, while it had been widely reported that the sisters would attend the wedding, this was "never as concrete".
Harriet Sperling and Peter Phillips began dating in 2024 | PAThe source explained that although they had sent RSVPs indicating their intention to attend, and these had not yet been formally withdrawn, they would "never want to overshadow the bride and groom's happy day".
Despite this, GB News understands that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will be seen at future Royal Family celebrations and have the full support of their uncle, King Charles, as evidenced by their inclusion at Sandringham last Christmas.
Mr Phillips and Ms Sperling are due to marry on June 6 in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, near Cirencester in Gloucestershire. The wedding date and venue were confirmed earlier this year by Mr Phillips's spokesman.
Mr Phillips, the son of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, is the eldest grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Ms Sperling is an NHS paediatric nurse and writer. The couple began dating in 2024 and announced their engagement in August 2025.
The ceremony is expected to be a relatively low-key affair compared with previous royal weddings, although several senior members of the Royal Family are expected to attend.
King Charles III, Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales have all been informed of the arrangements.
Mr Phillips and Ms Sperling have made several public appearances together over the past two years, including attending Royal Ascot and the Cheltenham Festival.
