DIY SOS star Nick Knowles left his fans stunned during his recent TV appearance with many of them failing to recognise the star.
On Monday night, Knowles was discussing the reasons behind his latest break from work and gave an update on his relationship with fiancée Katie Dadzie.
However, viewers were unable to concentrate on what he was saying before taking to their X accounts to comment on his radical new look.
“What happened to Nick Knowles! He’s unrecognisable!” one quipped before another added: “If I hadn’t heard his voice I’m not sure I’d have recognised that man as Nick Knowles. He looked totally different and not just the beard."
A third commented: “What on earth has happened to Nick Knowles? What a transformation from him!”
“Nick Knowles looking incredibly well at 62. So what if ‘s put on a bit of weight and grown a beard? At least he hasn’t pumped his face fill of botox,” one impressed viewer praised.

Another insisted: “Nick Knowles is trending and lets be honest he’s looking very good, approaching his 62nd year!”
“Someone has entered their Papa Bear era and , I full support it,” one viewer teased before another praised: “Loving Nick Knowles’ new bearded look!” (sic)
Speaking about why he looked so different, he explained: “There’s two things with it. One is I’m not actually doing any filming for a while.
“I’m doing some writing and things and so I had the chance to grow an beard and actually, weirdly for men you get a chance to grow a beard, like, ‘I’ll grow one’.

“I can’t have a beard like this when I’m filming. So that was one thing, And the other thing is a friends asked me to do some acting and years ago, long when… I’ve been in TV 40 years now.
“When I started out, I started doing a bit of acting and I’ve been asked in-between. Now I’ve got a bit of space, so I’ve said yes to play the part,” he told The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas.
Earlier this year, Knowles worried fans about his relationship with Dadzie as he asked for his followers advice after being on “relationship” death row.
Writing on his Instagram, he explained: “Men people! Or very sympathetic women people? Might need your help. You know when we kinda tune out when our partners are talking and just throw in the occasional yes or uh huh!

"I am currently on relationship death row awaiting sentence. Any advice on restitution would be much appreciated."
Luckily, Knowles and his other half remain stronger than ever as they prepare for their upcoming nuptials.
