The third series of the hit farming show is set to return to Amazon Prime

Jeremy Clarkson fans are delighted the wait for series three of Clarkson's Farm is almost over.

The show's return will see all the latest goings-on from Diddly Squat Farm, including plenty of chaotic moments.

Clarkson's right-hand man Kaleb Cooper will be back to assist him on the farm, as well as Clarkson's girlfriend, Lisa Hogan.

However, Hogan revealed she almost ended up in big trouble in the upcoming series.

While talking about her farm shop and how she is only able to sell items produced within 16 miles, the 50-year-old confessed: "Charlie [Ireland] had to have a serious conversation with me and say that I could end up with a criminal record if I didn’t comply."

She continued: "It’s council regulations which I respect, especially after Charlie explained it to me in his clear and concise way."

Clarkson, 64, also teased how the series would feature several moments highlighting the sad reality of working on a farm.

The trailer showed Hogan crying on his shoulder after two of the farm's piglets died, and both reflected on the moments of heartbreak that come with the job.

"Every single TV show or movie we watched as a child was sad: Lassie, Ring of Bright Water where the otter gets a shovel through his head, Old Yeller, he died," the former Top Gear star pointed out.

"Born Free was an absolute tear-jerker. There was never a children's film in the 60s and 70s where it had a happy ending and I don't know what happened, but movie producers decided films needed happy endings, and that's what we've got used to.

"Well, farming doesn’t have many happy endings, as we've discovered."

Hogan admitted she hadn't expected to become so attached to the animals, explaining: " I didn’t think I’d be that enamoured by pigs but I did get really close to them.

"Farming’s just sad. The animals become your friends and you’re isolated. It was heartbreaking."

Elsewhere in the series, Clarkson and Cooper have their "biggest argument yet" in the third series of the popular show.

On the rows he has with his co-star, 25-year-old Cooper remarked: "I think in this series we have probably our biggest ever argument. But don't get me wrong, I love the man."

Clarkson stated: "When we do things like trying to repair the dam, that's construction, and neither of us really know what we're doing there.

"So that was one of our big arguments. Then he was made to wear health and safety equipment, which nearly killed him because he stepped off the machine still attached to it and hit his head."
