GB News host Ellie Costello has revealed that some viewers slammed her as "pathetic" because she was scared of the thunderstorms this morning.
Yesterday The Met Office issued an urgent weather warning, with motorists warned of difficult driving conditions and London was hit with the thunderstorms overnight.
Ellie admitted that the storms frightened her on her commute into work and co-host Stephen Dixon agreed.
Speaking on Breakfast Ellie said: "We've been talking about the weather this morning, haven't we? I think lots of people are calling me very pathetic for saying that it was scary."
Stephen said: "One or two people are saying you need to get a grip. But I said it was scary first and foremost because I mean, driving through it, it really was."
Ellie added: "Bearing in mind we're driving in at about three in the morning, so we are the only people on the road." Stephen said: "It was really, really scary."
