Visitors claim the area is ideal for paddleboarding and swimming

The United Kingdom is home to some of the continent’s most beautiful landscapes, with dramatic landscapes and ancient castles concentrated in the north.

In northern Wales, the unique village of Trefor in Gwynedd has gained traction after a recent video of the area emerged on social media.

TikTok user @Eryrisnowdonia recently highlighted the destination on her platform, sharing stunning footage of its pristine turquoise waters.

The clip, captioned “hidden beauty spot,” sent commentators racing to the comments to share their thoughts, with one person writing: “It’s absolutely beautiful.”

Another chimed in: “What a view,” while a third added: “Gorgeous, I love this place.”

Elsewhere in the comments, a previous visitor noted that the area is ideal for paddleboarding and swimming.

One viewer commented: “Omg, this place looks insane. Need to visit,” while another noted that they “could sit there all day”.

According to Visit Snowdonia, the “unusual little village” of Trefor offers extraordinary views of the Llyn Peninsula.

The village itself came into being thanks to the local granite quarry, with much of it built during the granite boom years.

“Its small harbour became extremely busy in the days when the granite was shipped all over Europe,” according to the tourism site.

“The beach, a mix of sand and pebbles, is mostly sheltered, though it does receive winds from the northwest.”

For those wishing to explore the length of the Welsh coastline, the resort town of Llandudno is an ideal starting point.

Several routes branch out from the town, offering sweeping views and a rich variety of wildlife to spot along the way.

Visit Snowdonia notes: “Llyn is a stronghold of culture and heritage. It also has a magnetic charm that never fails to seduce.

“Its coastline accommodates a dizzying variety of scenery within its relatively short length - everything from towering, wind-blown cliffs to snug sheltered harbours, sandy beaches to traditional villages and fashionable resorts.

“You can explore its heritage coast by following the Wales Coast Path, or go surfing or sailing.”
