Cruise lovers will be able to combine rewards when sailing with different brands

Royal Caribbean Group unveiled a new loyalty scheme that will transform how cruise passengers earn rewards across the company's portfolio.

The programme, called Points Choice, enables travellers to collect points whilst sailing with any of the group's three brands and then direct those rewards to whichever loyalty scheme suits them best.

Whether guests choose Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, or Silversea for their voyage, they can now decide where their earned points should count.

The company stated it is enhancing benefits for dedicated customers at a time when many competitors are scaling back their loyalty offerings.

Points Choice creates a unified network linking the Crown & Anchor Society, Captain's Club, and Venetian Society reward programmes operated by Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea, respectively.

Passengers who book with one brand can now allocate their accumulated points to any of the three schemes, allowing them to strengthen their standing with a preferred line or fast-track progress with a brand they wish to explore.

Chairman and chief executive of Royal Caribbean Group, Jason Liberty, said: "Points Choice is designed with our guests at the centre.

"Our guests are exploring more of our brands than ever before, and we believe our loyalty experience should grow with them. Points Choice gives every guest the power to direct their loyalty points within our family of brands, where they will have the biggest impact for them."

The Points Choice scheme builds upon the company's existing Status Match programme, which launched in May 2024 and allows loyalty members to enjoy equivalent tier benefits across all three cruise lines.

This combination creates what the group describes as the most comprehensive and rewarding loyalty system in the cruise sector.

Guests will continue to earn points through their usual methods, with the added flexibility to transfer them to their chosen programme within a fortnight of completing their voyage.

The process can be managed entirely online, giving customers direct control over their rewards allocation.

Points Choice becomes available for cruises departing from 30 January 2026, giving passengers just over a week to prepare for the new system.
