Merseyside police have launched a probe into an elaborate "hoax" after bomb threats were sent to multiple schools in Liverpool.
On Monday morning, Lipa School in Liverpool City Centre informed parents to keep children away due to a threat being made to the education establishment.
In a letter to parents the school said it had been forced to close on Monday due a threat that may cause harm.
However, the letter further explained that these are often hoaxes, but claimed due to "heightened media attention", it is now a "credible risk".
