Europe is a popular choice for British expats thanks to its beautiful beaches, guaranteed sunshine and friendly locals, but there are other options worth considering when moving abroad.
Speaking exclusively to GB News, an expat made two recommendations for those looking to go further afield.
The UAE and Mexico were top picks for expat Jeremy Savoy, who is the founder of Millionaire Migrant and has lived abroad since the age of 22.
While popular with British tourists, the countries may not be the top pick for those looking to relocate. But sunny weather, great amenities and good financial incentives make them great for expats.

UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi)
Dubai and Abu Dhabi have grown in popularity over the years. There are new entertainment venues, restaurants and hotels constantly opening up, and expats have been enticed by low taxes.
Savoy said: “The UAE is one of the few countries where you can grow your top line and reduce your bottom line. There’s no personal income tax, no capital gains tax on investments, and 0% corporate tax in free zones.
"You can base yourself in high concentrations of high network individuals in small geographical spaces, which significantly increases your financial opportunities, be it through business, networking, or investment.
"It’s very pro-business, very forward-thinking, and gives you a level of security that few countries offer right now.”

Mexico (Mexico City and Tulum)
Mexico might not be the first choice for expats, but there is a good reason why it should be. Not only does it have stunning beaches, warm weather and great food and drink, but there are plenty of cities worth visiting.
Savoy explained: “Regarding Mexico City, most expats tend to concentrate in Polanco, Roma Norte, and Condesa. However, the city offers many other safe and convenient neighbourhoods that are not so explored, like Coyoacán, Escandón, Las Lomas, Narvarte, San Ángel, and San Rafael.
“Regarding Tulum, what often surprises people who have visited in the past is the speed of development and construction in the area. This can be positive but also means it’s becoming more commercialised, which then drives certain expats to lesser-known locations.”

| GETTYIf you are set on moving to Europe, one Briton who relocated to Portugal shared the '"real magic" of moving there. He explained why he believes it is the best place for expats.
He told GB News: "As a British expat myself, and as a dual-qualified English solicitor and Portuguese lawyer (Advogado), I can say with confidence that there is nowhere in the world where British people are made to feel more at home than in Portugal.
"The country is famous for its perfect weather, beaches, food and culture, but its real magic lies in its people. They are warm, kind and genuinely welcoming, with a special affection for the British.
"For many Britons, Portugal isn’t just a sunny destination, it’s a place where they can build a new life without ever feeling far from home.”
