Families hoping to get away this summer could save hundreds by choosing the right destination, as new data reveals where school-holiday budgets stretch the furthest.
New research shows the Costa Brava tops the charts as the most affordable destination overall, with seven-night family stays averaging £685 per person — even during peak summer dates.
The findings come from TravelSupermarket and are based on searches made between January 1 and February 10, 2026 for seven-night family holidays departing between July 25 and August 24, 2026.
While Spain continues to dominate in value, families willing to look beyond the most obvious resorts are finding strong deals further afield. Alongside Costa Brava, destinations in Morocco are faring well for budget-conscious families looking for guaranteed sunshine.

Traditional favourites stuck on the list, with Costa Dorada, Costa Blanca and Mallorca all featuring in the rankings, alongside less expected entries such as the Italian Lakes and Bulgaria’s Bourgas area.
Head of holidays and deals at TravelSupermarket, Chris Webber, said: "Spain remains the go-to for families looking to stretch their summer budget, but what's striking here is how much variety is on offer at the affordable end of the market.
"Morocco appearing twice in the top 10 is a real sign of the times - destinations like Marrakesh and Agadir are increasingly popular with families who want guaranteed sunshine and genuine value."
With deals from under £500 per person still appearing across popular hotspots such as Tenerife, Costa Blanca and Mallorca, the message for families is clear: flexibility on destination can make a significant difference to the cost of a summer escape.

Marrakesh and Agadir both make the top 10, suggesting a growing appetite for warm-weather destinations outside Europe
