LG has just unpacked its newest TV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada — and it’s truly "wallpaper" thin. Meet the LG OLED evo W6.
At just 9mm thick — roughly the width of a pencil — this ultra-slim TV mounts flush to your wall like a piece of art.
Don't be fooled by that oh-so-thin profile, LG has still managed to pack the flatscreen with a slew of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features, a bright OLED panel, anti-reflective coating, and much more.
Park Hyoung-sei, President of LG's Media Entertainment Solution Company, stated: "The Wallpaper TV represents the beautiful convergence of our True Wireless leadership, form factor innovation, and 13 years of OLED mastery. LG continues to raise the bar for OLED TVs, setting the standard for what's next."
These upgrades put LG’s latest OLED in direct competition with Samsung’s newly unveiled OLEDs at CES, while also challenging lifestyle-focused TVs, like the Hisense Canvas S7NQ. And it’s not the only innovation LG revealed. The company also debuted another new flatscreen designed specifically to showcase your favourite artwork.
Here’s everything you need to know about this strikingly thin new TV.

A Zero Connect box will let you connect your cords from another area of the room, instead of directly behind your TV's screen. This prevents it from having cords running down the back of it

One key feature that the W6 includes is the Zero Connect Box.
Instead of having your TV mounted to the wall with several cords running down the back of it, you can now pop this box up to 10 metres away from the screen and connect the wires from there. This will allow the screen to sit completely flush against your wall, edge to edge, with no visible wires whatsoever.
In terms of picture quality, LG is initiating its Hyper Radiant Colour Technology. You're getting a screen that's 3.9 times brighter than standard OLED panels. That means watching the football on a sunny afternoon or catching up on a film with the curtains open is much easier than it was on prior models.

LG also engineered this screen to have its lowest reflectance yet. — earning the Reflection Free Premium certification from the testing company Intertek. That means annoying glare spots from windows and lamps are practically invisible while you're watching your favourite shows.
This model is built with LG's Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3, which is the powerhouse underneath that's 5.6x more powerful than before.

Similar to prior LG models, as pictured above, you'll have anti-glare technology that will allow you to watch your favourite shows more easily without the light bouncing off the screen from a nearby window

Powered with a Dual AI Engine and a chip that runs two processes, it reduces noise while keeping textures looking natural. This helps detailed footage shots look much more realistic rather than weirdly smooth and plastic.
For gamers, the W6 supports a 4K 165Hz refresh rate, which means incredibly smooth visuals whether you're racing through circuits or battling online. If you're looking to get your hands on LG's W6, there's no confirmed release date or price quite yet.
However, previous new releases from the company suggest that it could be available for purchase this upcoming spring.
