Samsung's popular Smart TV is about to get a healthy dose of competition.
LG Electronics is set to unveil its brand new Gallery TV within the next month, and it's been created with actual museum curators to help you turn your living room into a proper art gallery.
This standout feature is called Gallery Mode, which adjusts colours and brightness to make artwork appear lifelike on your TV screen when it’s not in use. This handy tech makes it look like a literal piece of art is displayed in your home — not your telly.
Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, said: "We will continue to lead the market by expanding our lifestyle TV lineup, transforming the screen into a companion that fluidly adapts to our customers' preferences. Our goal is to enrich customers' lives by providing the freedom to design every aspect of their personal space."
This is a very similar concept to Samsung's The Frame. Samsung has been using its own tech to display art across your telly since 2017.
However, LG's new curator collaboration could give the Gallery TV an edge when it comes to displaying masterpieces authentically.

Both brands offer customisable bezels and anti-reflection screens, though Samsung has been certified with Pantone colour validation for its displays. This means its display meets Pantone's rigorous colour display tests, making each artwork look as lifelike as possible.
If you're looking to get your hands on LG's Gallery TV, there's no confirmed release date quite yet. However, previous new releases from the company suggest that it could be available for purchase this upcoming spring.
