Android fans, your first look at the new Google Pixel 10 is here.
Interestingly, this sneak peek doesn't come courtesy of some shadowy leaker, but was published by Google itself in the weeks before its hotly anticipated Made by Google keynote on August 20.
Google released the short teaser video on its Google Store, offering a glimpse of the upcoming phone, which has some notable differences compared to the Pixel 9. For starters, the Pixel 10 is shown in a bluish-grey finish, a colour not available in previous models.
It also has a slightly different design on the rear case, which appears to include an additional camera.
Google hasn't confirmed which model we're looking at, it could be a Pixel 10 Pro, not the standard Pixel 10. One of the biggest differentiators between the Pixel 9 Pro and its more affordable sibling was the number of cameras, so it's possible that trend will continue this time around.
When it comes to photography, the Pixel 10 is rumoured to switch to a triple-camera system — a major improvement over the Pixel 9's dual-camera setup. That extra camera will be a telephoto lens, unlocking the ability to capture distant subjects in plenty of detail, perfect for gigs when you're in the cheap seats.
While the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL arrived with a triple-camera system, including a telephoto lens for lossless 5x optical zoom and up to 30x zoom with AI-enhanced digital zoom, the addition to the standard Pixel 10 would be entirely new.
To learn more details about the release, the tech giant is sending out invites for its Made by Google 2025 launch event in New York City. Your calendar should already be marked for 6pm UK time on August 20, when the livestream will begin on YouTube.

You'll be able to watch the entire keynote on YouTube. There's no link yet, but you can expect Google to share the YouTube livestream for its next Made By Google event on its social media channels closer to the date.

If the rumours are accurate, you'll have the choice between four new Pixel devices:
- Google Pixel 10
- Google Pixel 10 Pro
- Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
- Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold
All of these are expected to be powered by Google's custom-designed Tensor G5 chip system-on-a-chip, which looks set to use a 3-nanometre process, promising better power efficiency and a decent performance boost. That should result in Android apps launching faster, speedier AI tasks, and more headroom for years of software updates to come. That's good news, since Google promises at least seven years of Android operating system updates, security patches, and feature updates with all of its new Pixel handsets.
That speedier processor will enable deeper Google Gemini AI integration across the operating system, particularly within productivity apps such as Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. This Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the ability to see what's happening on-screen, so it can offer based on what you're doing.
Samsung has incorporated the same functionality in its latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
How much will all of this cost?
Whispers from inside Google suggest the Californian firm is planning to keep the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro at the same price points as their predecessors. Pixel 9 costs £799 in the UK, while the Pixel 9 Pro costs £999.

Tipsters claim that shoppers in the US will need budget an extra $100 for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will arrive with a $200 price reduction.
If that carries over to the UK, Pixel 10 Pro XL could increase from £1,099 last year to a whopping £1,199. Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold would drop from £1,749 down to £1,549.

If you're not fussed about the latest Android smartphones in the works from the Google Pixel team, you might be delighted to know that a new Pixel Watch is coming too.
Google looks set to introduce two sizes for the first time: 41mm and 45mm.
Pixel Watch 4 is tipped to keep the same circular screen, although it'll be brighter this time around with a peak brightness of 3,000-nits that should ensure everything is easily visible in direct sunlight.
Battery life looks set to be increased too, with rumours pointing to 30 hours of battery life with the always-on display for the smaller 41mm Pixel Watch 4, increasing to 40 hours on the larger 45mm model.

We can be sure that Google's new smartwatch will be powered by Wear OS 6, the latest operating system for wearable gadgets. This means you'll find the latest Material 3 Expressive UI visuals, which promises more fluid scrolling animations, and notifications that squeeze more information on-screen.
Your ears haven't been forgotten either, with Google Pixel Buds 2a tipped to make an appearance. Expect beamforming microphones for easy voice commands or hands-free calls and new colours, including Hazel, Strawberry, Iris, Fog Light.
According to whispers, Pixel Buds 2a will start from €149 in mainland Europe, up from the €109 charged for the existing Pixel Buds A-Series. In the UK, those same 'buds costs £99, so we could expect prices to increase as high as £139 with this new generation.
Finally, Google could launch new accessories powered by magnets, dubbed Pixelsnap, including a wireless charger, charging stand, and ring light for your new Pixel 10.
