Tennis legend Andre Agassi has suggested Taylor Fritz should have been fined for attempting a risky between-the-legs shot during his Wimbledon semi-final against Carlos Alcaraz.
The eight-time Grand Slam champion was left far from impressed when the American attempted a 'tweener' at a crucial moment in the second game of the second set.
The 27-year-old Fritz's ill-judged shot came after he had lost the opening set 6-4 to the defending champion. Despite winning the first game of the second set, his attempted tweener went wrong, allowing Alcaraz to win the point and eventually level the set.
Fritz recovered from the setback to claim the second set 7-5, breaking the Spaniard in the final game. The American's momentum proved short-lived, however, as Alcaraz reasserted his dominance to take the third set 6-3.

"If I was his coach I would've fined him a hundred bucks for trying a tweener there," Agassi told the BBC.
When asked by colleague Andrew Castle if he disapproved, Agassi confirmed: "I don't approve. I mean it's one thing if you get there and it's your only shot but he could thrown something up into the blue sky and the hot sun and hope for something a bit better."

The semi-final marked Fritz's first appearance in the last four at the All England Club. The Californian faced a formidable challenge against Alcaraz, who arrived at the match seeking his third consecutive Wimbledon title.
Fritz entered the match as a significant underdog against an opponent who has been collecting major titles at an impressive rate. The American has reached just one Grand Slam final in his career - the 2024 US Open, where he was defeated in straight sets by Jannik Sinner.
Alcaraz's record stands in stark contrast. The Spaniard claimed his fifth Grand Slam title at the French Open last month, defeating Sinner in a five-set thriller.
This victory added to his growing collection of major championships, which includes two Wimbledon crowns and the 2022 US Open.
