Tottenham mean serious business and have ramped up their transfer efforts in recent days

Tottenham are set to make a move for Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton after completing deals for Mohammed Kudus and Morgan Gibbs-White, GB News can reveal.

New Spurs boss Thomas Frank has been given a war-chest of around £175million to complete the triple deal, in what would be a huge statement of intent from club chairman Daniel Levy.

Spurs have confirmed a deal for Kudus from West Ham for a fee of £55m, announcing his arrival on Thursday evening.

And the north London club have also triggered Morgan Gibbs-White's release clause at Nottingham Forest worth £60m, with a medical booked in tomorrow.

Having qualified for the Champions League last season by beating Manchester United in the Europa League final, Tottenham are looking to take full advantage of their healthy financial status.

And GB News understands that after deals for Kudus and Gibbs-White have been concluded, Tottenham will launch an assault on Palace for the highly-rated Wharton.

Palace value the England international at £70m but Tottenham are expected to bid as high as £60m.

It remains to be seen whether that is enough to convince the south London club to part ways with the midfielder, who was signed from Blackburn for £18m in January 2024.

Spurs are desperate to bring in a No. 6 in midfield and view Wharton as arguably the best young option in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old has had a remarkable rise since his move to Selhurst Park, breaking into the England team and lauded for his passing ability and composure under pressure.

Tottenham had a difficult season under Ange Postecoglou in the Premier League, astonishingly finishing 17th - 13 points above the relegation zone.

While Postecoglou was sacked despite winning the Europa League, it has been widely accepted that the squad needed bolstering considerably.

That includes the impending arrivals of Gibbs-White and Kudus, who will improve the club's attacking options where departures are expected.

Richarlison looks set to leave while club captain Heung-min Son has also been touted to depart.

After qualifying for the Champions League, Tottenham are in a very healthy position from a financial point of view and have money to spend.

New manager Frank has been keen to imprint his style on the squad and, alongside technical director Johan Lange, has worked closely with the recruitment team.

Frank and Lange are old pals at Danish side Lyngby - and a raid on the coach's former club could still go ahead.

Yoane Wissa has been tipped to leave Brentford this summer and Spurs are at the front of the queue, due to Frank's relationship with the forward.

The Congolese star was in fine form for the Bees last season, scoring 19 times in 35 Premier League appearances.

Scoring goals proved a problem for Tottenham last season, whose top scorer in the league was Brennan Johnson with 11.

As well as bringing in a new defensive midfielder, another centre-back could be looked at with Cristian Romero linked with a move away while youngster Ashley Phillips is being eyed by several Championship clubs for a loan.

Highly-rated defender Luka Vuskovic, 18, has joined from Hajduk Split this summer after an agreement was reached in September 2023 but he is expected to join the development squad.
