Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz's mixed doubles campaign at the US Open is already over following their elimination from the competition on Tuesday night.
The duo were sent crashing out by Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula, who won 4-2, 4-2 to advance.
Many had been hoping to see Raducanu and Alcaraz put on a show, with the pair two of the biggest names in the sport.

In the end, however, they came up short - with Draper and Pegula also beating Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva in the quarter-finals.

While the pair failed to live up to expectations, however, they're not exiting completely empty-handed.
Raducanu and Alcaraz have received prize money worth £14,736 between them for their involvement in the revamped tournament.
As for Draper and Pegula, their quarter-final win means they're guaranteed £147,364 between them.
Should they manage to go all the way, that figure could rise as high as £736,880.

Raducanu and Alcaraz will now turn their attentions towards the singles draw, with both players gunning for more Grand Slam glory.
Back in 2021, Raducanu stunned the world by winning the US Open against all odds - with Leylah Fernandez overcome in the final.
That victory was widely expected to act as a catalyst for more big honours and prizes.
However, Raducanu has often struggled for consistency in the time since and has failed to win a tournament since that stunning triumph four years ago.

As for Alcaraz, the world No 2 previously won the US Open in 2022.
He has established himself as one of the finest talents of his generation, having added four more majors since that victory.
Most recently, Alcaraz took part in the final of Wimbledon.
He was outclassed by Jannik Sinner, however, with the Italian winning in four sets to claim his first Grand Slam title on grass.
Meanwhile, Draper said he enjoyed playing against Raducanu and Alcaraz on Tuesday.
Discussing his win, he said: "I've got a pretty good partner.
"What an experience playing out here against Emma and Carlos.
"It doesn't get any better than this, so just a pleasure to be out here playing with such a good player."

As for Pegula, she added: "That was such a fun atmosphere.
"I played doubles a lot, haven't played that much recently, so it's always kind of tricky, especially going into a mixed format. It was a lot of fun. Jack played great."
