Carlos Alcaraz has emotionally opened up after losing to Jannik Sinner in the final of Wimbledon on Sunday.
The world No 2 had gone into the showdown hoping to make it a hat-trick of victories at the All England Club, having overcome Novak Djokovic in each of the past two years.
However, Sinner produced a stunning display on Sunday to claim the first Wimbledon title of his career - with the Italian winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to etch his name into the history books.
Alcaraz was surprisingly subdued, with the 22-year-old unable to cope with his opponent.

Speaking after the game, the tennis star admitted that it was 'difficult' disgesting the defeat.
Alcaraz did, however, insist that he was pleased with his run to the final - while he also showed class by hailing Sinner for his triumph.
"It's difficult to lose. It always is, even if it's in the final," said the world No 2, who had beaten Sinner to win the French Open last month.
"I have to congratulate Jannik once again. It was an unbelievable two weeks for you in London.

The 23-year-old had been left heartbroken last month when he lost to Alcaraz in the final of the French Open.
This time around, however, he was able to maintain his composure and serve out the match.
Reacting to his win, Sinner said: "I'd like to start with Carlos. Again, an amazing tournament from you but thank you for the player you are. It's so difficult to play against you.
"On the court we just try to build it up. Keep going and keep pushing, you are going to hold this trophy many times - you already have two!
