GTA 6 could be missing a legendary character when it finally releases.
Excitement is building ahead of the new game, with Rockstar poised to release a first trailer next month.
Many are expecting the game to be set in Vice City, with the previous two instalments taking place in Los Santos and Liberty City.
However, it appears long-time fans of the franchise are in for a blow.
GTA 6 news: Lazlow Jones has appeared in every Grand Theft Auto game since 2001

Lazlow Jones has featured in every GTA game since the release of Grand Theft Auto 3 all the way back in 2001.
But Lazlow is now working with Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser at a new company called Absurd Ventures, having left his previous role in 2020.
That new career move means he could, therefore, be missing from GTA 6 - especially given the company is keen to go in a new direction following his departure.
It is currently unknown if Absurd Ventures is working purely on video games.
Reports have suggested they're also looking at live-action content, books, comics and scripted podcasts as well.
Lazlow was previously co-president of the whole production department at Rockstar Games.
The 50-year-old has also served as a writer, director and producer as well.
And Lazlow has worked on trailers for GTA games in the past, though isn't now expected to have any involvement when GTA 6 comes out.
With regards to Lazlow, the character, he is usually one of the radio personalities in the game.
For many years fans only heard his voice, instead of actually seeing him.
However, that all changed when GTA V came out in 2013.
Lazlow has a physical appearance in that title and presenter of the in-game show, Fame or Shame.
The character hosts auditions for that show with protagonist Michael De Santa's daughter, Tracey, one individual to try out.
However, her audition goes awry when Michael and Trevor Phillips turn up and attack Lazlow for dancing inappropriately.
A mission then takes place which sees Michael and Trevor pursue the presenter in the Los Santos Storm Drain.
After they finally catch up to Lazlow, Michael and Trevor humiliate him before letting him run away.
Lazlow does make another appearance later in the story.
He interviews a few celebrities at the premiere of Michael's new film, 'Meltdown', which is shown off to a huge crowd.

He hilariously retreats away from Michael after spotting him and is clearly still scared by their previous exchange.
