Min Woo Lee has revealed he broke his finger during a gym workout just a 48 hours before he was set to travel to Augusta for the Masters.
The 25-year-old qualified for his third Masters having moved up to 32nd in the Official Golf World Rankings.
After missing the cut at the Valspar Championship at the end of last month, Lee shifted his focus to getting ready for the Masters.
He enjoyed an impressive debut at the Masters in 2022 when he finished tied-14th, but missed the cut last year.
The Masters is always seen as the tournament every golfer wants to be ready for with their chance of etching their name into the history books.

But Lee will be up against it more than most after breaking a finger in a freak incident last week.
"I hurt my hand last week. Broke it," Lee said.
"But, yeah, I have it bandaged up right now.
"You know, I hit my first shot for the last week on Friday, so hit my first full driver.
"Yeah, honestly, it's actually amazing how fast the recovery was.
"It was bruised, still swollen, but not actually that painful which is really strange.
"Somehow recovering very good, so icing and elevating as much as I can.
"Yeah, I guess it wasn't the best prep, and I got the flu two days ago. Yeah, it's going great."
When asked how the injury happened, Lee added: "I dropped a dumb bell on my hand.
"I was in the gym on I think Saturday.
"I was just doing like a side bridge glute thing and it was literally my last rep, last set thing, and I like threw the dumb bell down and somehow clipped my right ring finger so it...
"Went to the doctor and I thought it was okay because I could move it.

"So, yeah, a lot of anxiety. This is the first time telling the public.
"We didn't know as a team to tell or to not, and I felt like I should tell people because there was a lot of the pressure on me I guess playing well.
