Tiger Woods has been paired with compatriot Max Homa and Australia's Jason Day for the first two rounds of the Masters.

The Masters have caused uproar online after giving Tiger Woods a quick turnaround in the opening two rounds of the first major of the year.

Woods is back playing competitive golf for the first time since withdrawing midway through the second round of the Genesis Invitational in February due to illness.

Speaking in his pre-tournament press conference, Woods admitted that he's not been able to make a return as his "body wasn't ready".

He's now seemingly in a place where he's not only happy with where his physical status is, but confident enough that he could even win a sixth Masters jacket.

All eyes will be on Woods as he plays the first two rounds in a bid to make it through to the weekend.

The 15-time major winner will play his first two rounds alongside Jason Day and Max Homa.

But some were left surprised at the decision to put Woods on the afternoon slots for Thursday before turning around to the morning slots on Friday.

His group will tee off at 1.24pm ET (6.24pm BST) on Thursday before returning to the course for 10.18am ET (3.18pm BST) on Friday.

One fan said: "Surprised they didn't give Tiger a morning-afternoon tee time for the first two rounds."

Another asked: "Why in god's name did Tiger not get an early/late tee time?"

A third moaned: "Why do they keep giving Tiger late/early? Let the man get some rest."

One other person posted: "Late early is a disaster for Tiger. Doesn't give his body time to recover."

Another wrote: "What is it with Augusta giving Tiger late/ early tee times instead of early/late????"

Woods may actually benefit from the late-early tee time changeover with bad weather expected early on Thursday.

According to the latest official Masters weather forecast, Augusta National is preparing for 'rain and storms' Thursday morning.

After Thursday's thunderstorms, the weather is expected to clear up for the rest of the week.
