Manchester United are continuing to make moves in the summer transfer window by establishing contact with Brentford regarding forward Bryan Mbeumo.
The Red Devils have expressed initial interest in the 25-year-old, who is valued at more than £60m by the London club. Whilst communication between the two clubs has begun, formal negotiations have not yet commenced.
Brentford are prepared to entertain offers for Mbeumo, with a belief within the club that he has earned an opportunity to join a bigger team this summer if their valuation is met.
The Cameroon international has been on United's radar for some time and is viewed as an ideal fit for Ruben Amorim's tactical approach. Reports suggest United have received positive signals that Mbeumo is keen on a move to Old Trafford.

United have already secured their first major signing of the window, agreeing a £62.5m deal for Wolves striker Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian international's transfer awaits visa and registration completion following his return from international duty.
Mbeumo's statistics from last season underline why United are pursuing him. The forward netted 20 Premier League goals, with only three players scoring more, whilst also providing seven assists.

His expected assists figure of 9.26 led the league, largely due to his table-topping 202 crosses. The 25-year-old's work rate was exceptional, covering one of the highest distances and attempting one of the most sprints in the division.
He recorded the fourth-fastest speed at 36.63 km/h. His 27 goal contributions earned Brentford 22 points, representing 40 per cent of their season total.
Bruno Fernandes has ended speculation about a potential move to Saudi Arabia by confirming he intends to remain at Manchester United.

The club captain revealed that both his wife and manager Ruben Amorim played key roles in convincing him to stay at Old Trafford. "The feeling is he still has plenty to offer top level European football," according to sources.
United were facing a potentially lucrative offer from Al Hilal that could have reached £100m for the Portuguese midfielder. Fernandes, whose current contract runs until 2027 with an optional additional year, has chosen to continue his career in Europe rather than pursue the financial rewards available in the Middle East.

United's loan arrangements have produced mixed outcomes this summer. Antony's temporary spell at Real Betis has generated renewed interest in the Brazilian winger, who scored nine goals in 24 starts.
Communication channels between United and Betis remain active, though the Spanish club may struggle to meet United's valuation for a permanent transfer.

ReutersChelsea have opted against triggering their £23m obligation to sign Jadon Sancho permanently. The decision came after the London club failed to agree new contract terms that would align with their wage structure.
Sancho will return to Old Trafford, with Chelsea owing United £5m for not completing the permanent transfer. Meanwhile, United are yet to receive formal offers for Alejandro Garnacho, though suitable bids would be considered.
Both Chelsea and Napoli, who attempted to sign the Argentine in January, maintain their interest.
Liverpool are increasingly optimistic about completing a deal for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, with the Cherries valuing their defender at approximately £40m.
The 21-year-old Hungary international has reportedly expressed enthusiasm about joining the Anfield club, where personal terms are unlikely to pose any obstacles to the transfer.
Bournemouth have placed a £40m valuation on Kerkez, who remains under contract at the Vitality Stadium for another three years.

The Merseyside club have monitored the defender for an extended period, impressed by his performances on the south coast since his arrival from Dutch football.
Kerkez has emerged as one of Bournemouth's standout performers during the current campaign, catching the attention of several top clubs.
The young full-back's impressive displays have reinforced Liverpool's long-standing interest in securing his services.
A significant factor in the potential transfer is the existing relationship between the player and Liverpool's sporting director Richard Hughes, who was responsible for bringing Kerkez to Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.
