Ruben Amorim's time as Manchester United manager has been nothing short of wretched, with the 40-year-old struggling to stop the rot at Old Trafford since being appointed as Erik ten Hag's successor back in November.
But Lee Sharpe believes the former Sporting Lisbon boss should stay in the dugout for the time being, despite the fallen giants enduring a dire start to the new season.
United went into the campaign hoping to bounce back after a horrendous season last time out that saw them finish 15th in the Premier League table.
Big money was spent on the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko in the hope that they'd usher in a new era of success at Old Trafford.

But United have won just one of their first four matches, with pressure mounting on Amorim as a result.
Last week, he reached the lowest point of his reign with the Red Devils sent crashing out of the Carabao Cup by League Two team Grimsby Town.
United have failed to beat Arsenal and Fulham, too, picking up just four Premier League points from a possible nine.
Sharpe, speaking exclusively to GB News, feels Amorim deserves more time after being backed but that he must start fixing issues, and fast, in order to keep his job.
"The board have backed him, so it's a difficult one for sure," he said while speaking on behalf of Casino.org, the trusted guide to UK casinos.

"He does need to get results now. I like him as a man, I see his intentions, but it must now result in getting results on the pitch.
"It shouldn't be going wrong with the talent in the squad. There is now plenty of good players at United to win games regularly.
"Regarding the system, I don’t think it’s working. But you have been backed to bring in players to suit a system, so it is now time to start delivering with results. The players need to be accountable as well."
Sharpe also made it clear that he likes Amorim.
"As I said, I like Amorim, he is a likeable guy, you can see what he is trying to do.

Lee Sharpe believes the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha must deliver for Man United this season
| GETTY"But the message doesn't seem to be getting across to the players on the pitch to deliver winning performances."
No United manager has been able to win the Premier League since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.
Many supporters blame the Glazers, the club's controversial owners who still haven't invested a single penny of their own money since purchasing the Red Devils back in 2005.
Sharpe was asked about the Glazers but insisted everybody must share responsibility for the Red Devils' shortcomings.
He continued: "It’s not a blame game.
"Sir Alex was always going to be a very difficult act to follow.
"But we are here now and it’s time for the players to perform on the pitch.
"They need to train well, listen to the manager and what he is looking to achieve in the style of play and win games of football.
"Confidence will then follow after that."
With United's form spiralling, it seems as though the Red Devils are years away from winning the biggest trophies on offer.

Sharpe feels 'smart recruitment' is the way to speed things up, however, and believes football goes round in 'cycles' meaning their time will come again.
"It will take time for sure. The top teams are way above Man Utd right now, but smart recruitment and confidence can then help Man Utd move up the table and forward," he insisted.
"They are behind these other top teams in the Premier League, but football goes in cycles and Man Utd have to now to focus on catching up."
