Kostas Tsimikas was taken to hospital after his collision with Jurgen Klopp on the touchline.

Kostas Tsimikas has reportedly suffered a broken collarbone after wiping out Jurgen Klopp from Bukayo Saka's challenge during the 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool were forced to make an early substitution in the first half after Tsimikas was sent flying from a 50-50 challenge with Saka at the halfway line.

Both players were tussling for the ball with Saka getting his body in front of the full-back, pushing Tsimikas out the way.

The left-back was flung into the air and landed awkwardly into Klopp's legs, who was unable to get out of the way in time.

The Liverpool boss ended up hitting the deck hard on top of Tsimikas, who was left lying on the ground in clear pain.

Klopp managed to get back up quickly to his feet, but Tsimikas needed medical attention.

Liverpool's medical team soon realised the severity of the injury to the Greece international with Joe Gomez getting ready to come on and take his place.

Tsimikas had his arm in a makeshift sling as he made his way down the tunnel and to the hospital to undergo more tests.

Sky Sports later confirmed the defender had suffered a broken collarbone in their interview with Saka, who offered an apology to the defender.

He said: "I heard he's gone to hospital, I want to apologise to him.

"I didn’t mean it of course but, for me, it was just a 50-50."

Klopp confirmed after the game that he didn't suffer any injury from the incident, but spoke on his disappointment that Tsimikas is set for time out of the side.
