Liverpool fans have demanded "Arne Slot Out" as the phrase trended on X after the final whistle of their Champions League 4-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven at Anfield.

The Reds have conceded three or more goals in three consecutive games in all competitions since September 1992, equaling an unwanted 33-year record.

Liverpool started the season with six wins in a row, but has since fallen off in form.

The defeat compounds the misery from Saturday's 3-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest, leaving Arne Slot facing immense pressure - with fans starting to call for his sacking.

The Dutch manager watched his side crumble against Peter Bosz's Eredivisie outfit, with the visitors capitalising on defensive errors throughout the match.

Ivan Perisic, Guus Til and Couhaib Driouech found the net for PSV, while Dominik Szoboszlai provided Liverpool's sole response.

One user wrote: "Like this tweet if you want Arne Slot OUT."

Another added: "We LOST our trust in SLOT already. Get him out."

A third said: "Raise your hand if you want Arne slot out."

Disaster struck within five minutes when Virgil van Dijk's raised arm met an inswinging corner, leaving the referee no choice but to award a penalty.

The situation only got worse after further defensive calamities followed in the second half.

Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister the last time Liverpool had a run as bad as this, when they lost nine of 12 matches between November 1953 and January 1954.

Speaking after the game, Slot said: "That’s another big loss. I look at the way we reacted after conceding to go a goal down and I want to be positive about the players.

"We played positive after that, we equalised and I don’t think at half time anybody would have expected us to lose 4-1.

"But then we lost another goal early in the second half and after that we made more chances but this was hard to take, hard to take and the end result is a 4-1 loss."

Liverpool will face West Ham on Sunday, hoping to end their abysmal run.

He added: "The only way to go is to go through now.

"What I mean with that is that we just have to face where we are in and fight really hard.

"It would be nice if we don’t every time get this knock of a goal we concede because it is not only conceding a goal it is also the feeling.

"At least the feeling I have and the players have and probably the fans, that after 45 minutes you don’t expect to be 1-1 you expect to be up."
