Loganair is launching a brand-new flight route connecting Jersey with East Midlands Airport, starting from this Sunday.
The service marks the second of four fresh summer routes the airline is rolling out from its Channel Islands base as part of a major push to boost connectivity.
It follows the Norwich route that took off in early May, with Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Bordeaux still to come.
The regional carrier says this represents a huge investment in Jersey's transport links, giving both islanders and visitors from the East Midlands more options when it comes to hopping between the destinations.
Jersey aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 | GETTYEast Midlands Airport's commercial director, Adam Andrews, said: "We know Jersey is a really popular destination offering an idyllic island escape, and East Midlands is a fantastic gateway for Jersey residents looking for access to our great region and beyond."
The route opens up the East Midlands to Channel Island holidaymakers while giving people in the region an easy way to reach Jersey's beaches and coastline.
One-way fares start from £84.99, making it an affordable option for a weekend getaway or longer beach break.
The Norwich service got things started back in early May, and now attention turns to the French routes on the horizon.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Bordeaux are both set to launch as part of what the airline is calling a major boost to services from Jersey.
The Paris connection is particularly noteworthy – it's actually Loganair's first-ever commercial route to France, creating a direct link between the island and mainland Europe.
However, the routes to East Midlands Airport and to Norwich are set to be the most exciting for British holidaymakers, as they have more options going to Jersey.
Jersey is just one hour from the UK, with more than 20 distinct beaches, many offering golden sands for enjoying the summer sun.

Passengers flying with Loganair get a 21kg baggage allowance included as standard, which is handy for longer trips or those planning to explore multiple destinations.
The airline was named the UK's most punctual carrier of 2025 by the Civil Aviation Authority and ranked among the top short-haul performers in the Which? customer survey.
