Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has proposed to his long-term girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez after nine years as a couple.
The 31-year-old model announced their engagement through Instagram, sharing an image of an enormous diamond ring alongside the message: "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives."
The Portuguese star, 40, and Rodriguez share two daughters - seven-year-old Alana and three-year-old Bella.

Their engagement marks a significant milestone for the pair, who have built their life together since meeting in 2016.

Rodriguez displayed the substantial diamond on her ring finger in a photograph showing her hand placed over Ronaldo's.
The former Manchester United player had previously expressed reluctance about marriage despite their long relationship.
He explained his position, saying: "I always tell her, 'when we get that click.' Like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about."

Ronaldo had suggested the proposal could happen at any time, stating: "It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I'm 1,000 per cent sure that it'll happen."
Speculation about an engagement had emerged in April when Rodriguez displayed a different ring on social media.
The pair first encountered each other at a Gucci boutique in Madrid, where Rodriguez was employed.

She recalled staying three hours beyond her shift when Ronaldo entered the shop with his eldest child and companions, describing feeling "butterflies in my stomach".
Their relationship quickly developed after that initial meeting, with Ronaldo acknowledging in a 2019 interview with Piers Morgan that it was "true love" and "like magic meeting for the first time".
Rodriguez has embraced motherhood to Ronaldo's five children. Beyond their daughters together, she helps raise Cristiano Jr, 15, and eight-year-old twins Mateo and Eva Maria.

The family suffered heartbreak when Bella's twin brother Angel died at birth.
Rodriguez revealed on her Netflix programme "I Am Georgina" that friends constantly enquire about wedding plans.
She shared: "They're always joking about the wedding. 'When is the wedding?' Since Jennifer Lopez's song 'The Ring Or When' came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me."
Despite no formal engagement until now, Ronaldo had referred to Rodriguez as his "wife" at December's Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, telling the audience: "It's a big pleasure to win this trophy.
"My oldest son is here, my wife [Georgina] is here."
