The incident is alleged to have taken place in November 2019

An Australian racing driver raped one of Michael Schumacher’s nurses in a bedroom at the F1 star’s family home after a cocktail party was held on his estate, prosecutors have claimed.

The unnamed driver is alleged to have sexually assaulted the nurse in her 30s in an upstairs bedroom at the Schumacher family home in Gland, Switzerland, on November 23, 2019.

He raped her twice while she was unconscious, prosecutors in Switzerland have claimed.

The man accused, an Australian in his late 30s, had access to the family estate where the nurse worked.

She was part of the medical team that had been tasked with caring for the Ferrari legend after his tragic ski accident in 2013 that has left him hidden from the public eye.

The unnamed individual is said to have claimed that he previously kissed the nurse in a club in Geneva, something which she denies, before the night of the alleged rape.

The Schumacher family is not implicated in the allegations and has not been listed in the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the District of La Côte.

They are said to have crossed paths in Schumacher’s billiards room on the night.

The nurse later became unwell after drinking vodka following a shift and was unable to stand, lying on the floor.

A physiotherapist and the man in his 30s carried her to a private room reserved for staff during night shifts, putting her to bed “without undressing her”.

The man, who was staying in a room nearby, returned later and raped her twice, it is claimed.

The nurse filed a criminal case against him in January 2022.

Initially, the defendant cooperated during the early stages of the investigation and travelled to Australia to be questioned, 24 Heures claims.

But he has now been unreachable for months, leading to fears the case may not proceed.
