Lewis Hamilton has forcefully dismissed speculation about an early retirement from Formula 1, telling journalists to "stop making up stuff" about his future in the sport.
The seven-time world champion insisted he remains fully committed to Ferrari despite a difficult start to his career with the Italian team.
"I have literally just started here with Ferrari. I am here for several years. I am here for the long haul," Hamilton declared at the Canadian Grand Prix.
The 40-year-old emphasised there were "zero doubts" about his commitment, adding: "There is no question where my head is at and what I am working towards achieving with this team."

The comments came amid wider turmoil at Ferrari, with reports suggesting team principal Frederic Vasseur is under serious pressure to retain his position.
There has also been speculation that Charles Leclerc is losing faith in the team and could activate an exit clause in his contract due to Ferrari's poor performance.
Hamilton's own lacklustre displays have added fuel to the retirement rumours, particularly given his age and the significant performance gap to his teammate.
Hamilton's debut season at Ferrari has indeed proved challenging, with the British driver securing just one sprint race victory in Shanghai whilst his best main race result remains a fourth-place finish at Imola.
In contrast, teammate Leclerc has claimed three podium finishes from nine rounds and consistently outpaced the seven-time champion.
Despite these struggles with Ferrari's underperforming 2025 car, Hamilton remained adamant about his intentions.
