Luke Littler has pocketed £30,000 in prize money after sealing his first World Series title of the year, and the fourth of his young career, with a superb triumph at the Australian Darts Masters.
The 18-year-old sensation, already the reigning World Champion and World Matchplay champion, erased the memory of last year’s heavy 8-1 defeat to Gerwyn Price in the Wollongong final by producing a composed 8-4 victory over Belgian debutant Mike De Decker.
Littler’s route to the trophy saw him take out home favourite Damon Heta in the quarter-finals, before dispatching top seed Stephen Bunting in the semi-final on Saturday.

His display in the final was clinical, firing in five 180s, a highest checkout of 143, and an impressive 99.10 average.

“Obviously it hadn't gone to plan on the World Series circuit this year, but there's plenty of opportunities to win and I've finally picked up that trophy,” Littler said afterwards.
“I cannot wait for Auckland now. We'll have a few days off, and then off we go!”
The win was even more satisfying for the world No 2 after a nervy opening day scare, when he survived a last-leg shoot-out against New Zealand’s Haupai Puha in the last 16, edging through with an average of 91.80.

He shifted gears the following day, producing a stunning 170 checkout in his 7-4 win over Bunting.
That result ended the Englishman’s bid for a third World Series crown of 2025.
Littler had earlier beaten Heta 6-3, starting and finishing the match with 11-dart legs to notch his sixth straight victory over the Australian.

“It feels great,” he added. “I didn't play that well last night, but I played very well tonight when it really mattered.”
Elsewhere, world No 1 Luke Humphries’ campaign ended abruptly as illness contributed to a 6-0 whitewash by De Decker in the quarter-finals.
Defending champion Price also fell short, losing to Chris Dobey in the last eight before Dobey was stopped by De Decker in the semis.
Bunting had started the evening in style with a 6-0 demolition of Josh Rock, but it was Littler who ended the night holding the trophy – and a cheque for £30,000 – to cap off another landmark moment in his meteoric rise.
De Decker, who pushed Littler in the final, reflected: “I’m happy to get to the final and showed I’m still able to play my A-game.
