Gerwyn Price has issued a concerning health update after posting a picture of himself in the hospital, forcing him to withdraw from the PDC Players Championship.
Price has had a good season so far, winning both the Poland Darts Master and the Baltic Sea Darts Open already, and was looking to be one of the favourites for the PDC title.
The Welshman was surprisingly not in the ballot for the Players Championship draw on Monday, raising concerns over his well-being.

The initial image was then followed up with an image of the 40-year-old sitting up on a chair with a drip in his arm, with “not a bed in sight” written over the image.
Concerningly for Price, this is not he first time he has sustained a hand injury.
In 2022, he was forced to withdraw from a Premier League night after suffering a fracture in the same hand.
The Welshman did not confirm on social media if the injury was of a similar nature or how long the injury would keep him out.
