The darts star was unable to retain his title on Thursday night

Luke Littler's new female 'friend' Faith Millar was spotted cheering on the darts sensation from the crowd at the O2 Arena during Thursday's Premier League Darts final.

The 19-year-old was seen alongside Littler's parents during Sky Sports' broadcast of the event as the darts star lost to Luke Humphries in the capital.

Millar appeared particularly focused as she watched Littler battle in the match. The trio were clearly visible on television coverage as they supported the 18-year-old darts star from the stands.

The appearance marked another public outing for Millar, who has been accompanying Littler to various events in recent months as their friendship has developed.

Littler suffered a narrow 11-8 defeat to rival Humphries in the Premier League Darts final on Thursday night, missing out on a stunning £275,000 prize pot.

The result marked a reverse outcome from when the two darts stars met in the same event last year, where Littler had announced his arrival onto the scene in stunning fashion.

Despite battling to get back into the match, it wasn't to be for the 18-year-old this time around. Humphries clinched the final match to deny Littler the substantial prize money at the London venue.

The defeat came as Littler was supported by his closest circle, including his parents and Millar, who watched intently from the stands.

It was revealed earlier this year that Littler met Faith Millar in February and that the pair were understood to have become almost inseparable since.

However, both have been keen to play down the significance of their friendship, insisting emphatically that they are not dating or in a relationship.

Millar has already accompanied the PDC World Champion to public events, including a Q&A session organised by his darts sponsors BoohooMan in Manchester in March.

The pair have also been spotted enjoying nights out together, with Littler recently sharing a picture of them with friends at a table full of beverages in a pink-lit booth.

Earlier this month, 'The Nuke' went public with his 'fun-loving' beautician 'friend', sharing a snap of them cosying up on a seat in a back garden.

Millar, 19, comes from Wigan, just 15 miles from Luke's home in Warrington, Cheshire. The eyelash beauty specialist is believed to have already met Littler's parents while visiting the 18-year-old at his mansion.

LATEST SPORTS NEWS:

A source told the Daily Mail 'Faith and Luke have become firm friends and enjoy one another's company a lot.'

The blossoming friendship comes nine months after the world number two split from his previous girlfriend 22-year-old Eloise Milburn last June.

At 19, Millar is closer to the darts star's own age than Milburn, who was in her twenties when she began dating him while he was just 17.

Milburn faced hostility from some online fans, something known to upset both her and Littler.

Littler has since been much more guarded about making his love life a public spectacle than he was when he very publicly dated Milburn.

He's previously suggested that his busy darts schedule means no time for romance.
