The 'Gypsy King' has shed light on his deal with the streaming service

Tyson Fury has claimed he tried to pay Netflix to stop filming a documentary series about him and his family.

The 'Gypsy King' is currently in the spotlight, with his showdown with Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia creeping closer.

Fury and his wife, Paris, were recently subject to a nine-part documentary series entitled: 'At home with the Furys."

But the 35-year-old has now claimed he grew fed up of being filmed all the time and tried to bribe his way out.

"I wanted to get rid of the filming. I couldn't take it any more, it was overwhelming," he told Queensbury Promotions.

"I tried to pay my way out of it, but I couldn't, so we got through it."

While Fury didn't enjoy shooting the series, which has been renewed for a second instalment, he's happy it's done well on the streaming platform.

"I was happy I didn't because it's turned out to be a number one hit and a fantastic show – a fantastic insight in[to] a crazy family and the mind of a mental, crazy person," he said.

Fury has also revealed his upcoming goals outside of boxing.

The Brit wants to become Forbes' best-paid athlete, a mantle that currently belongs to footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

And he's eager to make a film, too, though it's unclear what it would be about.

"I've got new goals, so everyone's f****d," he joked.

"I want to top the Forbes list as the highest-paid athlete ever for the year and I want to make a Hollywood movie."

Fury had revealed his Forbes ambition earlier in the week, insisting he's now agreed the biggest boxing deal 'in history'.

"They're paying big money, everything they get involved in is big," Fury told The Sun.

"And I believe I've just done the biggest boxing deal ever to be done in the history of boxing with them.

"I'm not at liability to talk about numbers but let's just say the bag is big, mighty f*****g big.

"But will it change me? Not really.

"[I've] still got the Crocs and the packed lunches from Asda, not too shabby mush!"

When quizzed on whether it was a one-fight deal, Fury added: "Can't say but it's the biggest boxing deal ever done in history.

"You know like all these big football deals, Ronaldo and Neymar and whoever else they're trying to deal with, blows all that out of the water.

"Big, big, big.

"I'll probably do it [top the Forbes list] this year, or next year.

"Sports' No 1 earner of all sports, that's me. That's the only thing I want to do.

"Conor [McGregor] did well out of his career, earned a lot of money fair play to the man, and I want to top that sports list as well now."

Fury is set to fight Ngannou next month in Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou has been reflecting on what the money he'll earn means to him, admitting it sums up his stunning rise to prominence.
