Aston Martin are reportedly exploring options to replace Adrian Newey as Team Principal following a catastrophic opening to the 2026 Formula One campaign.

Both drivers failed to reach the chequered flag at Shanghai, compounding what has been described as a nightmare scenario for the British constructor.

The reports suggest Newey's expertise lies in design rather than the demands of a high-profile directorial role.
The team's difficulties were evident from the very outset of the campaign, with concerns arising over whether Aston Martin could even participate in the Melbourne season opener.
