Sarah Ferguson took to social media to promote a book, just as she and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, have been facing new scrutiny in recent days.
On Wednesday, August 6, the Duchess of York took to Instagram to reflect on her semi-fictional novel, Her Heart for a Compass, which was a historical romance loosely based on her ancestry.
Fergie appeared thrilled about the book's continued resonance with her loyal readers, four years after its initial release. “Her Heart for a Compass was always meant to be a bridge between hearts, stories, and generations,” the Duchess wrote.

She included several photographs taken at an Amazon Influencer Program event.
The mother-of-two attended the occasion, where she signed copies of her book and engaged with other content creators.
“Being able to sign copies and speak with these incredible creators brought me right back to why I wrote it in the first place. Thank you,” Fergie added.
The timing of the post has not gone unnoticed, coming just one day after serious claims about her past surfaced in a newly published unofficial royal biography by Andrew Lownie.

The book has made serious allegations about Prince Andrew and Sarah, including their highly publicised divorce, financial struggles, and tabloid scandals that made global headlines in the 1990s.
Buckingham Palace and the Duke and Duchess of York's representatives have not commented on any of the allegations.
Fergie, 65, has often used her platform to champion mental health, children’s literacy, and personal growth.
Her debut novel, co-written with historical romance author Marguerite Kaye and released in 2021, quickly became a Sunday Times bestseller and has since found a growing audience through book clubs and social media.

The Duchess has also been expanding her reach into the influencer and publishing worlds.
Her appearance at the Amazon event marked another step in her evolving public persona, one that increasingly blends royal history with modern platforms.
Though Fergie made no direct reference to the revelations in Lownie's newly released book, her social media post served as a reminder of how she has navigated her post-royal life.
The Duchess, who recently recovered from breast and skin cancer and has been praised for speaking candidly about her health journey, continues to remain active in both the literary and philanthropic spheres.
