In June, the Princess of Wales, who was closely involved in the development of the films, spent time with some of the illustrators and early years practitioners during a creative workshop.

For this outing, Kate wore a Veronica Beard "Kona Dickey" jacket in forest green, which currently retails for $698 (£524). She paired the jacket with matching trousers from the same brand, which have already sold out.

Princess Kate, 43, also wore a white tank top from the brand Joseph, which sells for a whopping £215.

In addition, the mother-of-three accessorised with £3,050 Trinity earrings from Cartier, containing white gold, rose gold, and yellow gold.

This series of films is something that the Princess of Wales is understood to be extremely passionate about.

Their release is a key step in Kate's Centre’s work to continue raising awareness about the importance of social and emotional development in the earliest years of a child’s life.

The films have been developed by the Centre, which has worked with a group of animators and illustrators, in conjunction with leading figures in child development.

They will be used by people who work with babies, children and families, including nursery teachers, healthcare workers, volunteers and parents all across the UK.

Universities, charities, and professional bodies are expected to use the films for training and practice nationwide.

As a result, future generations of children will hopefully grow into healthier adults. The new film series follows on from the Centre’s Shaping Us Framework, which was launched in 2023.

They aim to explain the science behind everyday moments of connection and the importance of nurturing interactions, such as cuddling, smiling and making eye contact with babies and young children.

Princess Kate hopes to bridge the gap in the public's knowledge about "brain science", consisting of love, attention and being present to help nurture young children.
