Americans claim the Prince and Princess of Wales are 'drama free'

Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, bring "unnecessary drama", according to a royal fan who spoke exclusively to GB News.

The royal watcher gathered with huge crowds in New York City to catch a glimpse of Prince William, who visited the city for two days to promote the Earthshot Prize Awards, which will take place in Singapore in two months' time.

When asked who their favourite royals were, Emma said: "Will and Kate. I just love all of the work they do and I love how positive they are.

"They don't bring other unnecessary drama to the plate, which is always appreciated.

"And I love their little family. I just love everything that they that they exude."

The royal fan was asked if by "unnecessary drama" they were referring to Harry and Meghan, which they confirmed.

They added: "I just studied abroad in London and I was talking to some people about this at the Coronation.

"In 2020 when this first started happening, a lot of Americans were supporting it and they were like, yeah, come over this is this will be fun.

"But it turned into - 'this is embarrassing, take them back'. A lot of Americans have lost respect for them."

The royal watcher wore a replica of Princess Kate's engagement ring for the entire interview with GB News, which she claimed she "wears with everything".

The fan continued: "I love it because I do love Diana as much as I love Kate, and the fact that it gets to symbolise both of them is awesome and it's beautiful."

According to the fans who gathered in New York to see William, the Prince is making a huge effort to relax anxiety around climate change.

Another fan told GB News: "I very much have anxiety about climate change and what it's is doing to water levels, especially living on Long Island.

"I talked to my friends about it too, and we all kind of say [William] puts us at ease a little bit. We feel a little bit more hopeful about the future."

Prince William spent two days in New York promoting his Earthshot Prize Awards, before heading back to the UK.

His wife, the Princess of Wales, remained in the UK for the whistlestop tour, as she attended her royal engagements at home.
