Meghan Markle will be honoured at a prestigious Los Angeles gala later this month, marking another high-profile appearance in her adopted home city.

The Duchess of Sussex is set to receive recognition at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County's Night of Wonder gala on June 14, where she will also deliver remarks to attendees.

The 43-year-old will be celebrated for her efforts in championing women and underserved communities, work that organisers say aligns with the museum's mission to make science and nature more accessible across Los Angeles.

The garden-inspired evening will take place at the museum's Exposition Park location.

"We are proud to honor Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity aligns with our equity-focused approach," said Lori Bettison-Varga, President and Director of the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County.

The event promises to transport guests into an enchanted garden setting, complete with immersive exhibits, live music, and dinner served in the museum's North Garden.

The gala is expected to draw attendees from across Los Angeles's cultural and philanthropic circles, bringing together prominent figures from various sectors of the city's community.

It is not yet known if Meghan, 43, will be accompanied by Prince Harry or their children, Archie and Lilibet.

Since moving to California in 2020, the Duchess and Prince Harry, 40, have been gradually increasing their presence in Los Angeles whilst raising their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, who turns four on Wednesday.

Although the couple reside in Montecito, Santa Barbara, they have been regularly seen at prominent events and casual venues throughout Los Angeles, including visits to In-N-Out Burger during their travels.

Last year saw Meghan attending multiple Los Angeles events, including the Paley Honors and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Gala, signalling the couple's growing engagement with the city's social and philanthropic scene.

The past year has proved particularly busy for the Duchess, who launched her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast with Lemonada Media and her Netflix lifestyle programme With Love, Meghan.

She also unveiled her As Ever brand, which saw its initial product range sell out in less than an hour.

The Duchess has returned to Instagram, offering followers glimpses of her California life with Prince Harry and their family.

Looking ahead, she plans to expand her lifestyle venture, telling Fast Company: "My heart is very deeply in my home. Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden, and then you can imagine different verticals coming out of that."
