King Charles celebrated his 75th birthday in Oxfordshire, as he and Queen Camilla paid visit to a food distribution centre in Didcot.

The monarch arrived at South Oxfordshire Food and Education Alliance to launch his latest project, the Coronation Food Project, a new initiative aimed at bridging the gap between food waste and food need.

In London, The Honourable Artillery Company fired a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London, with another gun salute firing in Green Park to mark the King's birthday.

King Charles and Queen Camilla braved the rain and cold as they greeted workers at the centre, posing for pictures as they left the site.

Later today, the King and Queen will host a reception at Buckingham Palace, highlighting the work of nurses and midwives over the years, as part of the NHS 75 celebrations.
