Omid Scobie's Endgame claims "two members of the royal household" sparked conversations about Prince Archie's skin colour

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been told their power "doesn't carry the same weight" without their royal titles, amid the latest row to rock the monarchy.

Following the release of Omid Scobie's second biography, Endgame, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have remained silent, despite rife speculation surrounding the most controversial claim in the book, involving the couple.

Published across the world a week ago, the Dutch publication of Scobie's book named two alleged 'royal racists', in a claim that they sparked "conversations about Prince Archie's skin colour" before he was born.

Scobie has denied ever adding the names into the book, telling ITV's This Morning that he is "frustrated" about the scandal.

Scobie stated: "I had never submitted a book that had their names in it. So I can only talk about my version.

"It's frustrating that now what's going on in the Netherlands with the book that was obviously immediately rescinded and is now being reprinted has happened. I'm glad to hear that. But for me, I can only talk about the English version of the book that I wrote."

Discussing Endgame and the silence from the Sussexes, Katie Nicholl told GB News that they have "divorced from the Royal Family" in all but name.

Breakfast presenter Isabel Webster argued that Princess Diana had her royal titles stripped for "far fewer transgressions".

Nicholl said: "She divorced the Royal Family. And some might say that's exactly what Harry and Meghan have done in all but name.

"You know, they've upped and left. And of course, there's a possibility that the decision to strip them of their titles won't actually have to be made by the Royals.

"It may be made through the Houses of Parliament. We know from this couple that they will do everything possible to hold on to those titles because without the 'Duke and Duchess', they're just Harry and Meghan, and and that simply doesn't carry the same amount of weight.

"So I think it's a case of wait and see what's going to happen on that."

When asked about their possible reaction to Endgame and their silence on the royal race row, Nicholl predicted: "I think it's very unlikely that there's going to be any comment out of the Sussexes camp.

"In my experience in all of this, when these sort of inflammatory books come out, the Palace's view is to give the dust time to settle, and it inevitably does.

"It did the first time round after these alleged racist comments were made.

"I think, you know, for the palace to wade in at this stage, it will only give further oxygen to the publicity of a book that frankly, they just want to go away."
