In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we examine how betrayal is very wrong, and it really hurts us.
"Betrayal hurts differently because it comes from someone close. It shatters trust. Jesus understands that kind of pain in that room. He knew exactly what was coming. He knew who would do it, and still he washed Judas's feet earlier that evening in an act of love.
"He knew, and still he loved. He shared bread with Judas, and in that culture, sharing bread meant closeness and loyalty. It was an offer of extravagant grace from Jesus right up until the end.
"So that tells us something profound. Jesus's love is not based on our consistency. He knows our mixed motives and the way we mess up. And still he invites us to the table."
