
In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that a sliding doors moment is one of those points in life where a small event or decision changes everything, and you later realise how different things might have been.
"The phrase comes from a film where a woman's life turns on whether or not she catches a train as the sliding doors close. On the very first Easter Sunday, two men face their own sliding doors moment.
"They were followers of Jesus, but they had lost all hope when he had died on the cross two days earlier, and now they were travelling away from Jerusalem. They were discussing all that had happened in recent days, when Jesus himself came up and walked along with them, but they were kept from recognising him.
"And Jesus basically did a Bible study with them as they walked. Persuading them that they shouldn't lose hope because his death had always been part of God's plan."
