In Luke chapter seven, Jesus faces a time just like that. He heads to a funeral procession for a widow burying her only boy, a tragedy upon a tragedy.
He opens his mouth and says "young man, I say to you, get up".
What sort of words did Jesus's words have? Can they pierce the grave? Can they reverse our final journey?
