Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has this week announced a clampdown on family reunion applications for refugees, but she has not always held that stance.
Footage from 2021 shows Ms Cooper calling for more safe routes to be opened up for the family members of refugees to be able to make their way to British shores.
Ms Cooper said she made the change this week because neighbouring countries are now out of kilter with Britain's policy, meaning change was necessary.
