Sweden’s new Health Minister Elisabet Lann dramatically collapsed during her first press conference, sparking panic among officials and journalists in the room.
Ms Lann, standing beside Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, suddenly lost consciousness and pitched forward, sending her podium crashing to the ground.
Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch rushed to her side, putting the minister in the recovery position as medical staff scrambled to help.
After being treated and escorted out, Ms Lann stunned reporters by making a swift return, joking: “This was not exactly a normal Tuesday, this is what can happen when you have a blood sugar drop.”
