Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer went head-to-head for a live debate on ITV

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been booed by the ITV live audience for blaming the "broken NHS" on "industrial action."

Speaking in a televised debate, the Prime Minister admitted that the NHS was damaged after the Covid pandemic, and explained: “It is going to take time to recover from that.”

He added: “The NHS was impacted by industrial action.”

The audience erupted as the Prime Minister was booed for his response.

Starmer then pledged that Labour would provide 2 million extra NHS appointments every year if he was elected.
