Former Olympic boxing champion Luke Campbell has secured a remarkable victory in the Hull & East Yorkshire mayoral race, representing Reform UK.

The gold medallist has delivered a significant political triumph for Nigel Farage's party in what observers are calling a seismic result.

He received 48,491 votes in East Yorkshire, putting him 10,981 ballots ahead of Liberal Democrat Mike Ross in second.
