Chancellor Rachel Reeves has ruled out imposing VAT on private healthcare.

Speaking to GB News after the Prime Minister’s conference speech, she said Labour’s focus was on “growing the economy.”

Mrs Reeves insisted the party would take “tough choices” but in a “Labour way.”

She pointed to investment in the NHS, including new virtual hospital wards and expanded apprenticeships.

With the Autumn Budget fast approaching, The Chancellor promised to protect services while rejecting what she called “immoral” alternatives.
