The pro-Gaza independent MP for Birmingham Perry Barr has been slammed as "unfit to be MP" by a shadow minister on GB News.
It emerged on Thursday that fans of Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv would be barred from their fixture against Aston Villa on November 6 in Birmingham.
Speaking on GBN Breakfast, Louie French laid into local MP Ayoub Khan, saying: "This man is not fit to be a Member of Parliament with the Great British Parliament. We must be beyond this.
"This kind of sectarian hatred that we're seeing spewing across campuses and marches that we see week in and week out across the country. This has to stop with Great Britain."
Going one further, he added: "I think it's the message that it sends to people visiting our country about whether they're going to be safe. And equally for international future international competitions.
"The UK must be seen as safe for visitors. Otherwise, we will not be successful in hosting such competitions in the future."
