Ex-Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn has delivered his verdict on Rachel Reeves's Budget statement.
Speaking to GB News, he said: "Of course, adding the two child benefit cap is welcome, it should never have been there in the first place and it should have been abolished the moment Labour went into office, but it wasn't.
"So we've had an extra year of child poverty, that's a good thing.
"But by not raising the income tax threshold, it means more people will be brought into taxation who are the very lowest earners, and that's going to go on for another six years. And so what Rachel Reeves has baked in is higher tax for the lowest earners, for the next six years."
