Labour's David Lammy has been appointed as the UK’s new foreign secretary
David Lammy is set for a "big problem" after he has been appointed as the UK's new foreign secretary.
Britain’s new prime minister Keir Starmer made the appointment after his party won a widely-predicted landslide victory over Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives on Thursday night.
Speaking on GB News, host Martin Daubney said: "David Lammy named the foreign secretary. Now that is an appointment that might raise a few eyebrows.
"David Lammy was very critical of Brexiteers, comparing them to Nazis. Post-referendum he was very critical of Donald Trump.
"And if we look over the Atlantic it is looking more likely that Donald Trump could be the President of the United States of America.
"They might have a bit of an awkward conversation when they first meet."
